PASIGHAT, Dec 2: 

In a commendable gesture, a PRI member constructed a welcome gate for his school of which he was the first batch of students.

Gaon Burah, Ongin Gao, GB Mirku village who was the 1st batch of the Government Secondary School Mirku donated the welcome gate to the school which was formally inaugurated by Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong and DC, Pasighat Tamiyo Tatak in presence of DDSE Jongge Yirang and the school fraternity today.

While speaking on the sidelines, Gao now 61, recalled that he was among four students of the 1st batch in 1964. “Out of love and affection, I thought of constructing this welcome gate for beautification of the school”, he added. He also made a small walkway for students.
