Armed with 24 points charter of demands, the Arunachal Justice Forum (AJF) on Saturday has demanded resignation of Chief Minister, Pema Khandu on moral ground including investigation by CBI into various corruptions cases pending against him at various high courts.
Addressing the reporters at press club today, President AJF, Nabam Tagam informed that AJF has already submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India demanding re-investigation by CBI/SIT on Mere Vichar suicide note left by former CM Kalikho Pul, action against Khandu for his alleged involvement in Tawang firing incident on 2nd May 2016, illegal appointment in various departments as well as 19 appointments in Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), involvement in Hydro power scam etc.
Tagam who is leading the AJF claimed that there are more than a dozen cases registered against Khandu in various courts from PDS scam to Hydro Power. He also sought CBI inquiry on the alleged Rs 10,000 crore financial irregularities revealed by former Chief Secretary of the state, re-introduction of Public Darbar and others.
Meanwhile, Tagam also expressed deep resentment over the order issued by district administration capital complex to discontinue their dharna, which he claimed was granted permission by the DC himself to hold a week-long dharna at IG Park Tennis court.
He further blamed CM Pema Khandu of trying to suppress the voice of the citizens by allegedly using DC as a tool and affirmed of filling a case against the DC at high court for curtailing the constitutional rights to hold dharna.
The union further announced that its executive members will sit on a five-day hunger strike, if government fails to address their demands within stipulated time.
