TEZU, Aug 13:Locals were enthralled by a music concert featuring youth bands held to mark 50 years of the All India Radio (AIR) Tezu, which was established in 1967 on Saturday evening.

The concert coincided with the International Youth Day with a message ‘Say no to Drugs’ and ‘AIDS’.  Mishmi Hill from Lower Dibang Valley, Mortician from Lohit and Anjaw Band rocked the evening as they belted out both English and popular Bollywood numbers.
The concert exposed several hidden talents such as Jai Kishan Pul, Hana Mimi, Sabanlu Ama from Anjaw and Lohit and Nisan Linggi from Roing who held the audience spellbound with their melodious voice.
In his message on rampant drugs abuse and AIDS, Dr S Towang, Senior Medical Officer, General Hospital Tezu, advised the youth to live a drug-free life as drugs are detrimental to psychological, physical and economic status of an individual then to the family and society.
