TEZU, Nov 13:Expressing serious concern over the sporadic incidents occurring in the township, All Arunachal Pradesh Gaonbura Welfare Association (AAPGWA) Lohit unit has urged the Deputy Commissioner Lohit to intensify Inner Line Permit drive in the township to contain crimes.

In a memorandum submitted to the DC, it highlighted several incidents of bike lifting, drug peddling, extortion etc.

“We suspect the unauthorized influx of migrant labourers and illegal entry of people from neighbouring Assam has aggravated the law & order scenario. The district administration must launch surprise drive to nab such people and simultaneously carryout patrolling in the township regularly,” says Soloi Ngadong GS AAPGWA.

Lifting of Bicycle and Motor Bikes is common these days. There must be some huge racket operating in and around the township. If regular ILP drive and patrolling is made then crackdown could be easy, suggests a GB.
