YUPIA, Aug 17:A review meeting on implementation of GST was held at DC Conference Hall under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Tai Kaye on Thursday.

The house discussed to establish and make functional GST facilitation centre at DC office Yupia which will be supervised by Superintendent Tax & Excise Zone-I Naharlagun.

It was also decided to organize a sensitization meeting with all outpost administration officers and DDOs, dealers, contractors and stakeholders etc and to form a Core Committee group to monitor & supervise the GST implementation in the district which will be headed by DC Yupia.

Meanwhile, DC requested all the concerned officers to work on war footing for proper implementation of GST and exhorted the superintendent Tax & Excise to furnish situation report to DC on daily basis.

DC asked all concerned officers to furnish list of shopkeepers and contractors and their annual income by August 22 next.
