YINGKIONG, Sep 14: The Upper Siang DC Duly Kamduk directed the executing agencies of existing Highway Projects viz Pasighat via Mariyang to Yingkiong & Double lane highway (BRTF) viz Jengging via Migging to Tuting to expedite the construction works for early completion of the said roads for ushering development in this border district in a Co-ordination meeting held on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by the ADC, Tuting & EE RWD, Commander BRTF, DFO & DLRSO in which detailed discussions & strategic action plan was made on Techno-Economic feasibility alignment of the proposed Arunachal Frontier Highway & existing highway projects in Upper Siang.

DC Kamduk while briefing on the issues of the meeting including land acquisition, quarries and compensations enquired on the status of the construction works of Ranaghat to Yingkiong Highway to the EE PWD (Highway) and the Jengging to Tuting Double lane highway to the commander BRTF.

He directed them to expedite the construction works in the working season. He directed the newly formed joint survey committee of finalization of land compensation for Tuting to Ningging 15 kms span to complete the task within a week from September 19 next for early start of the construction works.

EE PWD (Highway) Pasighat Division Er. Aken Jongkey while  presenting the status of the Pasighat to Yingkiong Highway informed that the 19 km stretch of Pasighat to Singer river & Gobuk to Yingkiong (25 kms) executed by PWD (Highway) is almost on the verge of completion and likely to be completed by the end of this month.

DFO Anying Boli stressed on forest clearance before undertaking the construction works.
