DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap
ITANAGAR, Dec 8: Arunachal Civil Society (ACS) in its representation to Chief Secretary has sought intervention on the ‘Chief Minister Adhunik Shiksha Yojana’ claiming the project as mere eyewash and an attempt to siphon off government fund.
Referring to RTI documents, ACS claimed that agreement between the concern department and the executing agency EdCIL India Limited was made on the same day of the budget announcement of 10th March 2017. It further questioned that when the scheme which is yet to be approved and no department has been nominated for implementing the project, then how could EdCIL,(India) limited which is a Government of India enterprise (MHRD-PSU) be given the task to execute installation, training and maintenance related works of the project.
“RTI also revealed that, no invitation were served to any empanelled authorized agency by the state government for the project, but shockingly MoU has been already signed between the State Education department & EdCIL(India) on March 10 last, the same day DyCM announced the project ,” the ACS alleged.
While demanding, enquiry on the whole episode, ACS further claimed that authority concern is forcefully dropping the K- Yan System for Smart class in various schools which are not fit for the same due to absence of proper classroom and electricity connection.
