NAHARLAGUN, Nov 10:After much effort , Stephen Jerang wanted in Itanagar Police Station case N0-272/17 has  been  arrested from Pasighat, East Siang district on November 9.

Talking to  this daily SP Papum Pare and In-charge Capital Complex Tumme Amo said that the arrest was possible after lot of effort was made by the capital police since after the incident under section 326/307 IPC for murder attempt on one Chatung Gyadi few weeks ago and the accused was evading arrest.

OC, PS Itanagar Tabe Bage said that accused Jerang have been remanded to five days police custody after he was produced in the court at Yupia today. The incident had occurred near Ganga Market at Donyi Colony few weeks ago and weapons were recovered, the victim is undergoing treatment at NEIGRIMS, Shillong, Bage added.
