SIKKIM, Sep 26:

 

The Arunachal Yuva Vikash Sangathan in collaboration with  NIEPMD, Chennai organized a two day State Level Abi Olympics for persons with disabilities at Gangtok, Sikkim from September 25-26.

 

Abi Olympic is a sports event being organized for disabled persons to provide a platform to enable them to showcase  their talents and to motivate and boost their moral to make them understand their hidden capabilities.

A series of games like 100 & 50 meter race, Shotput, Ball Throwing and Bocce (Group match) Soft ball throw, Assisted walk 50 mtrs and Yoga session were conducted in the two day event.

Altogether, 120 Divyangjans from various parts of Sikkim attended the programme.
