ITANAGAR, Jan 5:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) while calling the attention of the state and central government said that the repeated claim and incursion by China clearly undermines the sovereignty of the Republic of India and the mute response and repeated downplaying of such serious development by the Government of India reflects its ambiguity on the subject matter.
The AAPSU demands for pro active response from the State and Central government lest it will cast an impression of vulnerability in the minds of the indigenous people of the State. The vexed issue of stapled visa is a glaring example whereby the people of Arunachal Pradesh have been deprived by the Central Government, it stated in a press statement today.
The AAPSU also in the wake of National Register of Citizens (NRC) up gradation in the neighbouring state Assam while raising its concern appealed the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh to immediately give necessary directives to all Deputy Commissioners for prompt steps for checking Inner Line Permit and any other potential illegal intrusion from the neighbouring state.
