ITANAGAR, Oct 10:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) taking serious note of the chaotic situation at the National Institute of Technology, Jote wherein students are staging indefinite protest demanding basic amenities against the college authorities visited the College to take stock of the ground reality.

The Union expressed shocked over the prevailing situation and has appealed the concern authority to speed up the work. The AAPSU convened emergency meeting with the staffers and students to solve the situation at the earliest. The students of NIT had complained of the slow pace of work in the institute and the institute is yet to arrange bathroom facilities, while the chemistry laboratory has been turned into a makeshift kitchen. Moreover, at least eight students are forced to share a tight spaced room and many other problems.

Assuring to take up the issue with the higher authority for immediate solution, the Union appealed the senior students to take necessary steps to maintain tranquility and take necessary steps to solve the situation.
