ITANAGAR, Aug 7:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has appealed the Highway authority to endorse the execution of the four lane highway from Itanagar to Banderdewa for early start of work.

‘The execution of work is delayed beyond the timestipulated and have not seen the light of day. There is urgent need to accelerate the pace of work for the common good,’ said AAPSU President Hawa Bagang while appealing  denizens, NGOs, intellectuals and highway affected people of the capital complex to cooperate and allow the development to take place.

Noting that road construction in the state isoften delayed and quality has been compromised because of controversies and other disturbance. The AAPSU also sought swift action of the district administration to supervise to ensure execution of work.

AAPSU strongly supports the developmental agenda and welcomes the early execution of the four lane highway which needs to be done urgently to ease the congestion of traffic and improve road condition of the capital complex, it said in a release.
