ITANAGAR, Nov 29: At least 70 teachers from various schools of the capital complex across government and private schools were felicitated for their selfless service by CT University, Punjab here today at a city based hotel.
Attending the award ceremony as chief guest, former MP and incumbent State BJP President, Tapir Gao called teachers next to mothers, who nurture a kid to be a responsible man. He also urged teachers to create awareness on various social issues like drug abuse which is one of the major challenges in society today.
‘Job of a teacher comes with great responsibility as they are nation builders,’ he added while appealing the teaching fraternity to be firm and punctual towards their duty to make the state vibrant in education sector.
He also informed that Chief Minister Pema Khandu is also giving his full support to bring changes in education sector.
IMC Councillor Higio Aruni in her speech observed that in rare cases the effort of private teachers are recognized .Such a gesture by the CT University is appreciable that will boost the enthusiasm of private teachers toward their profession, she added .
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor CTU, Harsh Sadawarti congratulated the awardees and appealed them to continue with dedication.
