ITANAGAR, Oct 15:   Health sector in the state got a facelift today as 27 ambulances under National Health Mission was flagged off by Health and Family Welfare Parliamentary Secretary Phurpa Tsering in a small but impressive function here at Civil Secretariat.

These ambulances will be placed at various Community Health Centre and Primary Health Centres across the state.

A visibly pleased Tsering said that with the flag off of 27 ambulances, the State Government’s objective of providing effective healthcare delivery on wheels to far flung villages and hamlets would be achieved.

While revealing the department’s plans, he said that the state government is committed to give its citizens accessible, affordable, effective, accountable and reliable healthcare to all the citizens particularly to the poorer and vulnerable sections of population.

The flag off program was also attended by Special Secretary Health, NHM officials and staffers.
