Aalo, Oct 29: Minister Health and Family Welfare, Biyuram Wahge inaugurated the LMO Plant (Liquid Medical Oxygen ) and eight-bedded ICU at Zonal Hospital Aalo in the presence of West Siang Deputy Commissioner Mamu Hage today. The long felt requirement of Zonal Hospital Aalo, now can cater to the patients. This Oxygen Plant can fill forty oxygen cylinders at a time while the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is equipped with modern facilities.
During the interaction programme, Dr Dubom Bagra DMO West Siang and Dr Karken Rina, MS, briefed about the activities of the Health Department of West Siang. Marge Sora Mission Director appealed to Health workers and Doctors to be sincere in their duties. He also urged the health department to timely immunize the required vaccination to all children as it is a national flagship programme.
Wahge in his address advised the Doctors, Nurses to dedicatedly render their services to the people of West Siang and nearby districts. He informed that zone wise meeting will be conducted where their grievances will be discussed. He appreciated the health department of Aalo led by DMO Dubom Bagra for being one of the best performing hospitals of the state. Recently General Hospital Aalo was awarded LaQshya Certification for fulfilling all standard services of labour room and OT.
Out of 11 (Eleven) health and wellness centres in West Siang, five have received NQAS certificate from Govt of India. The district is the highest in adopting TB patients. West Siang has also been awarded overall best performing National Tobacco Centre programme and it has reported zero Malaria cases in the last four years.
Inspecting two under construction hospital buildings, the Minister urged the executing agencies to complete the building in six months stating that it is most important for the area. Also he directed the executing agencies to fit air condition in all the outdoor patient department waiting hall.
Later the Minister along with MLA Topin Ete and ZPC West Siang Tumpe Ete, inspected the Darka PHC and Pobdi PHC. At Kamba, he visited the Kamba CHC and interacted with the medical fraternity.
