Mishra, State Liaison Officer, stressed the significance of youth engagement in national initiatives like the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, which serve as platforms for young minds to share ideas and play a role in nation-building.
Formerly known as the National Youth Parliament Festival, the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. Organized annually under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, this initiative aims to empower youth by engaging them in structured discussions at district, state, and national levels.
The event serves as a crucial platform for youth aged 18-25 years, fostering debate on national issues, enhancing decision-making skills, promoting respect for diverse perspectives, and encouraging civic participation. Through deliberations like these, the voices of young citizens are documented and shared with policymakers, ensuring that youth perspectives help shape the nation's future.
