ITANAGAR, Aug 4: A team of Capital police led by Inspector Thumgon Tali under the close supervision of SP City and SDPO, PS Itanagar, K Sikom successfully arrested five persons accused of stealing 3 Tata Sumos and a gypsy from Naharlagun and Nirjuli areas.
The alleged accused were identified as Sahjahan Ali, Mijnanur Rahman,Tilu Barman and Dilip Sarkar. According to police sources, the accused are native of Laluk and Barpeta of Assam and arrested in connection with a Naharlagun PS/ case no-111/18 U/S 379 IPC.
“One Tata Sumo has been recovered from their possession on the spot which was later handed over to the registered owner. Other missing vehicles are yet to be recovered and search operation has been intensified to track down two other suspects, who are at large,” the sources said.
