ITANAGAR, Aug 21:  In a matter of pride for Arunachal Pradesh and its people, as a part of the nationwide ‘Asthi Visarjan’ of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna  Atal Bihari Vajpayee, his ashes  will be immersed  in Parsuram Kund  in Lohit district, which is a famous pilgrimage destination of Arunachal. The immersion will take place on August 24 and will be performed by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, BJP State President Tapir Gao and General Secretary, BJP,  Jarpum Gamlin.
Moreover, before moving on to Parsuram Kund, the 'Asthi’ (Ash) will be kept for paying tributes at State BJP office on August 23 for the party workers and from there it will be taken to Dorjee Khandu Memorial Convention Hall for public viewing.
As per reports, a motorcade of party workers will escort the vehicle carrying the ashes from Naharlagun helipad to state BJP headquarters.
