DAMBUK, Aug 2: Under the Chief Minister’s Rural Communication scheme, Parliamentery Secretary for WRD, Art & Culture and Research, Gum Tayeng has felicitated 22 Head Gaon Bura/ Gam Bura / Gaon Buris of Dambuk circle, Lower Dibang Valley with televisions along with DTH sets on Thursday at the community Hall. 

Speaking on the occasion,Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, congratulated all the beneficiaries and emphasized on the proper and meaningful dissemination of information on government schemes and policies. Stressing on importance of education, she further urged on parental care and supervision over the students for educational progress in the area.

The PS cum local MLA called for proper use of the TVs and requested for further dissemination of all information/ news received through television to the rural masses. While informing the present status of Gaon Bura/ Gaon Buris in the system, she appealed to the people to honour the institution of Gaon Bura system in society. The HGBs/GBs/ Public leaders also spoke on the occasion.
