RAGA, Jan 17: Three minor children aged 10, 7 and 5 lost their lives in a tragic fire accident at Boasimla on Saturday around midnight.
A massive fire accident broke out at Tapirijo segment, near PHC Boasimla at 11.30pm on Saturday engulfing four houses completely.
Three minor children of one Kabak Tamo lost their lives in the tragic fire accident. At the time of the fire the parents were not present in the house, DIPRO report states.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, informed Superintendent of Police (Incharge) Kamle, Harsh Indora while adding that both parents-- father of the deceased was at Palin and the mother was at church during the time of the incident. He further informed that the bodies of the deceased have sent to Public Health Center Boasimla for postmortem. Team of Police has already initiated investigation in the tragic incident, stated the SP.
The District Administration and the police headed by ADC, DDMO and the OC rushed to the accident site to take stock of the situation. They provided immediate relief materials like ration, blankets, utensils and cash to the victims.
MLA Tarin Dakpe expressed shock over the incident provided one lakh rupees as immediate relief.
People from all the walk of society came forward to provide relief assistance to the victims as nothing could be retrieved from the houses. With no fire services nearby, it didn’t take much time for the fire to spread quickly and engulf everything that came its way.
Smt. Biri Nido Shanti, newly elected ZPC of Kamle provided Rs. 10,000 each to the victims. Also ZPM Kamporijo, Rakhe Taro gave Rs.5000 each to the victims.
The NES unit Kamle led by the district President Taniya Milli also visited the accident site and provided relief materials.
Milli ardently appealed to the government to provide a fire station at Boasimla. “Few houses could have been saved if there was fire service nearby,” he said.
It is pertinent to add here that owing to the arid and windy winters in and around Raga, Tamen and Boasimla, fire accidents are a major occurrence. This year alone, there four fire accidents have been reported.
Shocked and saddened over the unfortunate incident of fire accident at Boa Simla in Kamle District which claimed three precious lives, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has deeply mourned the losses.
While assuring all possible support to the victims, Khandu announced ex-gratia relief of Rs 4 lakhs each for the deceased. He asked the district administration to immediately process for the ex-gratia relief.
The Chief Minister also appealed the people to stay cautious and take precautions to avoid such accidents which is vulnerable during dry seasons like winters.
