PASIGHAT, Dec 3: Minister Transport and RD, Ojing Tasing today joined the 24th All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Foundation Day celebration here at Giddi Notko. 
Addressing a large gathering of district federal units members of AAPPTF representing nineteen districts of the state including delegates of All Assam Transport Federation on the occasion, Tasing lauded their invaluable contribution in the transportation services of the state serving as lifeline for people and goods and other services and the overall socio-economic growth of the state and the nation as a whole.
The District Road Safety Committee also conducted Road safety awareness and display on traffic safety to all the AAPPTF members and distributed pamphlets.
The Minister assured all possible support of the State Government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu to the welfare of the motor transport drivers and workers and also strengthening public transport infrastructure and amenities in view of the growing need for such infrastructures and to provide the public  with better public transport infrastructure amenities.
He also assured active consideration of the demands placed by the AAPPTF.  
Entrepreneur Niraj Sharma also stressed on the contribution of logistic support by the public transport sector to accelerate economic growth in the state.
Earlier,Local MLA Tapi Darang, in his  address welcomed the delegates from various districts of the state.
Earlier, President AAPPTF, Dobing Sonam placed a six point memorandum to the Transport Minister. He highlighted the acute need for creation of Arunachal Pradesh Motor Transport Workers Welfare Board and also highlighted various other issues for redressal. Dobing also appreciated the proactive initiatives and positive changes taken by Transport Minister Ojing Tasing  for strengthening the public transport sector.
East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu urged the motor transport drivers to maintain courteous behaviour and hospitality towards tourists and the general public who depend on them to experience the beauty of the state and experience a safe and good travelling experience.
SP Pankaj Lamba disseminated the gathering on various road safety awareness measures and Motor Vehicle provisions to save precious lives adding that East Siang Police is keen to partner with stakeholders for Road safety awareness.
Former MLA Kaling Moyong , District Transport Officer, Marik Loyi,  East Siang  Unit AAPPTF President Tabiram Moyong were among those present. DIPRO
