ITANAGAR, Jun 5:   Taja Yaying has been awarded PhD in Mathematics by Rajiv Gandhi University for his thesis titled “Study on Arithmetic Summability and its Applications”. Yaying conducted his research under the supervision of Prof. Bipan Hazarika, Department of Mathematics, RGU. With this he becomes the first scholar to be awarded with PhD degree from the Department of Mathematics, RGU. Besides, he is also the first Chancellor’s Gold Medallist of the Department in the year 2012.

A native of Gaming Village, Kaying in Siang District, he  is presently working as an Assistant Professor in Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar.
