ITANAGAR, Jun 16:Minister Power, Industries, Textile & Handicrafts, Tamiyo Tagga, visited Udalguri District, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) on June 15 last to get a first-hand knowledge of Sericulture activities and to assess its prospects back home in Arunachal.
Taga during a meeting with BTC officials opined that Sericulture technology should be disseminated to Arunachal for adoption.
He was accompanied by Textile & Handicrafts, Commissioner Tahang Taggu and Director Peto Ete, including a group of 10 Sericulture farmers.
Earlier, the team visited Sericulture garden of Mulberry, Muga and Eri plantation in various areas of Udalguri.
