SEPPA, Jul 29:  The Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018 was launched in East Kameng district on Saturday  with the Deputy Commissioner GS Rajawat calling upon all stakeholders to work together for a cleaner district.
The Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018 is an undertaking by the Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation aimed to provide a national ranking of all districts on the basis of quantitative and qualitative sanitation (Swachhata) parameters. Its launch was recently announced by the state government in the state capital.
The DC, who is also the chairman of the District Swachh Bharat Mission (DSBM), spoke at the formal launch and appealed to all heads of offices to keep their premises neat and clean. 
Instructions were also given to various departments and bazaar welfare organisations to co-operate with the PHED in conducting social service. He requested stakeholders of all communities to coordinate with each other to help East Kameng become one of the best performing districts in the country.
