TAWANG, Jul 30: Swachh Survekshan Grameen for Tawang district was launched today in the presence of Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, ADC Lobsang Tsering, HoDs, GBs, NGOs and ex-PRI members.
Speaking on the occasion, Tashi informed that the Rural Cleanliness Survey will have 6980 villages of various districts across the country competing with each other and will be ranked as per their cleanliness and sanitation status.
Reiterating that Survekshan is integral for the cause of Swachhta, the MLA said that an honest reporting of the cleanliness/sanitation status of the district should be made during the programme to be held from August 1 to 31 so as to determine the actual progress and also find out areas where the district needs to gear up. Further, reflecting on the pivotal role of GBs, ASHAs and Anganwadi workers in mobilizing masses, he appealed for their active and voluntary participation.
HAWAI: The Swachh Bharat Survekshan Grameen 2018 was launched in Anjaw district by Deputy Commissioner Mamata Riba with release of a Pamphlet giving the message:
