Urging the BJYM members to be 'change agents' and active partners in good governance, Mein sought their cooperation and appealed to the youths to join the organisation in large numbers. Stressing on the importance of technology, the DCM urged the state’s youths to remain updated on it to survive in the present competitive age. While noting the penetrating and influencing power of the social media, he urged the youths to remain cautious in its handling and carry the messages of good governance among masses. “It is the endeavour of the state government to make our youths self-reliant and empower them as job providers rather than as job seekers,” Mein said. Highlighting the state’s tourism potential he acknowledged the need for creating more infrastructure for the sector’s growth. The future lies in tourism and we have to work together to develop Arunachal Tourism into a responsible and sustainable one, he added.
