ITANAGAR/MUMBAI, Jun 21:In a significant development, State Cancer Society of Arunachal Pradesh inked an MoU with Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in presence of Commissioner Health, Kaling Tayeng and Director, TMC Mumbai, Dr. R Badwe here today at TMH Mumbai. The MoU will enable the state health society to get assistance in procurement of commonly used chemotherapy medicines to be supplied free of cost the local cancer patients at TCC, TRIHMS, Naharlagun.
The development comes close at the heels of the recent cabinet decision which gave the nod for free chemotherapy scheme by approving the proposal for MoU with Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai .
Moreover in April last, the state government had commissioned three high value medical equipment for the Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Hospital namely the— Babatron Cobalt Therapy machine, Samsung Digital Radiology ( X-ray) Machine and Samsung Ultrasound ( High end) Machine.
