ITANAGAR, Aug 12 : The members of central body of All Arunachal Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers Association (CB-AASSATA) led by its president Tarak Agung Tarh called on the Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein here today. 

 

They requested the state government to reconsider its recently announced cabinet decision  of regularizing only 400 posts and increase it to 500 to  600 posts or as the state cabinet deems fits for the welfare of SSA teachers. 

In his interaction with the CB-AASSATA, the Deputy Chief Minister while accepting their grievances assured the members that after due consultation with education minister and education department he would bring their grievances to the state cabinet.

The members informed the Dy. CM that they welcome the decisions of cabinet sitting of August 10 on regularization of SSA teachers, closure of all zero-enrollment primary and secondary schools in the state and immediate revocation of all out-of-turn promotions in education department but at the same time pleaded to reconsider its cabinet decision of creating only 400 regular post of SSA teachers. 
The president informed that some of the SSA teachers who have crossed 50 years of age are yet to be regularized.
