Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
BOMDILA, Mar 22: Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Srinagar, ICAR in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture, GoAP organised a three-day training programme on ‘Technological interventions for higher productivity and quality of temperate fruits in Arunachal Pradesh’ here from March 20-22.
Officials/officers from Horticulture, Agriculture and other departments participated in the training programme which was inaugurated by ADC Headquarters Sang Khandu who stressed on exploiting the vast potential of West Kameng district in temperate fruits like apple, kiwi, walnut etc. Important aspects of temperate fruit production and protection were delivered by the experts from ICAR-CITH, Srinagar, KVK Dirang and State Horticulture Department. The participants were acquainted with various aspects such as canopy management, production of quality planting material, management of physiological and micronutrient deficiencies, disease/pest management, profitable kiwi and vegetable production etc.
