ITANAGAR, Sep 5: "The myth and misconception revolving around blood donations can be sorted out through awareness camp and capital police force is always ready to motivate the common masses" Capital Superintendent of Police (SP), M Harsha Vardhan affirmed in a day-long voluntary blood donation camp held at the conference hall, Ramakrishna Mission hospital (RKM) here on Tuesday.
The voluntary blood donation camp was jointly organized by Capital Police Force and Arunachal Voluntary Blood Donor Organization (AVBDO), a unit of Arunachal Vivekananda Yuva Shakti (AVYS), in association with State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC).
Further, Vardhan urged the people to come forward and donate blood. He emphasized that blood donation camp will lessen the gap of blood requirement in the state during the time of emergency.
Lauding the huge turnout of donors, the SP also complimented Ramesh Jeke and his team for the ‘Blood Donation Camp. He adds that "Capital Police force apart from performing its duty will take up such humanitarian initiatives involving the entire student's community of the twin capital in future too."
