PASIGHAT, Aug 28: Solung (Lune) festival, one of the most popular agricultural festivals of Adi communities of settled in Siang and Dibang valley including parts of Namsai district was celebrated with great pomp and show at Lokpeng village of Siang District which was inaugurated by 35th Pangin-Boleng MLA, Tapang Taloh last week.
Gracing as Chief Guest, Tapang Taloh urged the fellow Adis of Lokpeng and other places to protect and preserve the socio-cultural and traditional ethos. Besides own local dialogue, we are identified by such traditions and cultures, he said.
