NAHARLAGUN, Aug 16:

All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) President Toko Takam while inaugurating a friendly volleyball match at Pachin Hapa said that sports could become an effective tool for social mobilization, to promote communal, peace and social harmony in the state.

Takam also urged the players to maintain sportsmanship and team spirit while playing the game and wished good luck to all participating teams.

The sponsor of the tournament, Entrepreneur Likha Maj urged the youth to actively participate and promote all types of games and sports and bring laurels to the state by participating in national and international level championship. Maj who organised the match to mark the 72nd Independence Day also assured to sponsor volleyball tournament for next three years.

Ziro II College Coordination Committee (ZCCC) was declared the winner and Papu Tigers become 2nd runners-up of the tourney.
