First commercial flight to begin from Pasighat ALG in September

ZIRO, Jun 22:In an effort to expedite the process of operationalisation of schedule commercial flights in Arunachal Pradesh including Advanced Landing Ground, Ziro, Secretary Civil Aviation, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Vinod P Kavle, today inspected and interacted with the District Administration and the Indian Air Force officers at the ALG Ziro.

Impressed with the scenic beauty of Ziro and its potential in agriculture and horticulture sector, Kavle expressed hope that with the start of commercial flights, Ziro would become a hub for tourism, agriculture, floriculture and horticulture activities in the state.

Informing that commercial planes will take its first flight to Pasighat ALG, in the first week of September, he sought cooperation and coordination from all the stakeholders in clearing the 2.3 meter land for the construction of security wall of the ALG, Ziro.  He on the spot constituted a team comprising of the DLRSO and his staff and DEO from IAF, who would conduct a final measurement of the disputed stretch on Tuesday.

Later, Kavle inspected the portion of the collapsed security wall, the drainage system, portion without the security wall in the ALG and further directed the AE, PHED to immediately submit an estimate for the drainage system.

Also taking note of high rising buildings in the ALG vicinity, he directed the District Administration to put a hold on the construction of high rising building, 100 meters from the perimeter. He also requested the DA to prune of few high rising trees in the vicinity.

The Secretary was accompanied ADC Nending Chatung, Group Captain P Singh Lamba(Adm), AE, PHED Hibu Kojin, DFCSO Nabum Tagum, ASW PWD Landi T. Taki , DTO and LRSO i/c Dikchu Raji.
