NEW DELHI, May 29: To get updates on the representation submitted to Indian vice-president Hamid Ansari, former chief minister Kalikho Pul's first wife, Dangwimsai Pul, along with her son Ojingso and Green Arunachal Foundation (GAF), chairman Takam Tatung on Monday called on Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi at the latter’s office here.

Dangwimsai, in a representation submitted to the vice-president on February 28 last had sought an independent inquiry to be initiated by a special investigation team into the allegations raised by her late husband in his purported suicide note.

Pul, who was found hanging at the chief minister's residence in Itanagar, had allegedly wrote a 60-page note in Hindi, titled “Mere Vichaar (My Thoughts)” a day before he committed suicide on August 09 last year.

In the "explosive note", he had accused former and serving SC judges, senior law officers, politicians and other people holding high office of being involved in corruption.

Secretary Mehrishi, in his interaction with the visiting delegation confirmed that his office has already received the copies of representations submitted to the vice-president as well as the Union home minister and the matter was being seriously looked into.  

Mehrishi further informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is systematically looking in to all the focal points of the case after it was on February last forwarded by the Arunachal Pradesh state cabinet and his department, as if now was awaiting legal opinions from the Attorney General of India.

Meanwhile, GAF chairman Tatung in a statement informed that the Home Secretary was positive in his response and has assured that the MHA would come out with the outcome of the case soon.
