ROING, Jun 15: The public outreach programme of Government of India “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas Sammelan” was organized at ITI ground here today. The closing ceremony of the event was organized in collaboration with NHPC Ltd Dibang Multipurpose Project, Lower Dibang Valley Roing.

The programme was attended by MP, Mangaldoi (LS) & Prabhari, BJP, AP, Ramen Deka as Chief Guest, Minister for Rural Development Alo Libang, Parliamentary Secretary, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Tamar Murtem, P/Secy WRD, Art & Culture Gum Tayeng, BJP State President Tapir Gao, among others.

“Road connectivity leads to development,” said Ramen Deka, and informed that with the completion of Bhupen Hazarika( Sadiya-Dhola) bridge the communication bottlenecks  has been cut down  and the rapid  developmental activities will take place in the region soon. Briefing on achievements of Government during 3 years he informed that 7 cr LPG connection to individual households was materialize and electrification of 3400 villages are underway. He also briefed on opening of new bank account, mobile banking system and benefits of it to reach out the actual beneficiaries of various Governments sponsored schemes. He also enlightened  on significance of Skill development programs and said that various trade and jobs  required specific skills and stressed should be given in developing one’s skills  to end up unemployment problems. He also urged the public for more participation and keep themselves alert on various developmental activities under taken in their areas.

Libang in his address called for transformation of work culture in every department to attain practical and tangible progress in the developmental activities taking place in the state. He also briefed on various central schemes and achievements of the Government and further informed that Rs. 1, 30,000/- will be provided for construction of individual house under rural house hold schemes and additional Rs.8000/- will be provided for construction Toilet under SBM schemes. He also informed that Government is committed for over all development of youth, students and girl child and many schemes have been launched for their benefits. He also exhorted the public for continuous monitoring and participation in developmental process and urged them to further disseminate the information on various welfare measures in their respective areas as well.

Tapir Gao, detailed on aims and objectives of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” Sammelan and said that it connected every citizen. Everyone should take full participation for the development of the state in particular and Nation as a whole. He also briefed on some welfare schemes like old age pension, insurance scheme for every individual, LPG connection facilities for women at Rs 500/- under Ujala Yojna etc. He also spoke on tourism potentiality of the district and exhorted the people of Lower Dibang Valley to keep positive approach for development of this sector.

Ronel Kumer, Executive Director, NHPC Regional office Itanagar,  Nani Lajie, VP, BJP, AP and Topak Pertin, BJP Persident, Lower Dibang Valley also spoke on the occasion.

Later, during press conference with AIR Tezu, Libang  said that to materialize the “Digital India a dream project”  the issues related to net connectivity and other related issues in various places of the state will be resolved soon. Libang, also visited DRDA and CD Block Roing- Koronu.
