NEW DELHI, Aug 7:Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju has expressed concern over the tragic incident in which a young man named Tage Dule of Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh lost his life due to injuries suffered while travelling by train in Uttar Pradesh on August 3.
The Minister immediately took up the matter with the offices of Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh and the Union Railway Minister with request for investigation into the incident to ascertain the facts and circumstances leading to the death of the youth. Rijiju sought action against the culprits, if there was any malafide intent. The Minister sought that the probe should ascertain whether the incident is related to discrimination against the North-East people.
Rijiju also asked Government of Uttar Pradesh and Ministry of Railways to extend all necessary support to the family members of the deceased in this hour of crisis. Further, he expressed his condolences to the family members of the deceased.
