PASIGHAT, Sep 2: The East Siang District Administration has extended gratitude to the State Government and others for the successful evacuation of the 19 stranded people on an island of the Siang River under Sille-Oyan Circle, on August 31.
In a statement, Deputy Commissioner,Tamiyo Tatak, has said, “ I take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, local MLA Tatung Jamoh , Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering ,Senior Officers of Civil Secretariat, Senior Officers from Directorate of Civil Aviation and Disaster Managment and all other stakeholders , and also the elected Leaders of the district who supported and encouraged the rescue Mission for saving precious human lives.”
The DC has also extended his gratitude to the IAF, members of IAF
team from A4 - Station Mohanbari, Assam who conducted the rescue, while the East Siang District Police, Indian Army through its One
Column 307 Medium Regiment, Sigar Military Station, rendered
logistic support in the rescue operation. He also appreciated the GB,
Jampani, Tate Saroh for alerting the Administration on time.
