DOIMUKH, Jun 16: Local MLA and Minister Urban Development, Land Management Nabam Rabia today assured to renovate the approach road from Emchi tinali to Rajiv Gandhi University campus from Saturday, however he added that the complete black topping will be carried out from September next.

While attending the joint meeting with the members of Rajiv Gandhi University Students Union (RGUSU), line departments, RGU authority and AAPSU members, the Minister opined that RGU is one of the premier University of the state and being the local representative of the area he asked to be apprised on matters related to  the university to solve the problems amicably.

Earlier on Thursday, RGUSU called for boycott of admission process due to non fulfilment of their long pending demand on renovation of approach road from Emchi to RGU campus, despite repeated plea to concern authority.

Meeting was also attended by Vice Chancellor, RGU Professor Tamo Mibang, Joint Registrar Dr, Nani Tamang Jose,  Executive Engineer- PWD (Doimukh Division) -Nabam Tado, Executive Engineer- Power (Yupia Division) Ajay Murtem and AAPSU, Vice President  (Protocol) Tayuk Sonam.
