ITANAGAR, Aug 31: A Bengal monitor lizard (Varanus bengalensis), an endangered animal listed in Schedule-I of Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 has been rescued from a residential area of Papu Nallah, Naharlagun by Bangram Lamgu, a resident of the area. He later handed over the reptile to Raya Flago, Curator, Biological Park, Itanagar for treatment and further rehabilitation.
