PASIGHAT, Dec 17: Project Brahmank of the Border Roads Organization commemorated the completion of 14 years of dedicated service with a solemn Sainik Sammelan today at Brahmank HQ: Raneghat/Pasighat, reflecting on its journey of nation building in some of the most challenging terrains of the country. During the Sainik Sammelan, 15 BRTF personnel and 19 Casual Paid Labourers (CPLs) were also awarded with commendation certificates/citations.
On the occasion, S C Looniya, Chief Engineer, Project Brahmank, paid rich tribute to the brave hearts who laid down their lives in the line of duty, acknowledging their supreme sacrifice in securing strategic connectivity along the nation’s frontiers. As a mark of enduring respect and remembrance to those who lost their lives while on duty and service, the Brahmank Memorial was inaugurated at the premises of Brahmank HQ, dedicated to the martyrs whose courage and devotion continue to inspire present and future generations.
Project Brahmank currently is an integral part of the prestigious Frontier Highway, a project of immense strategic importance. The formation has also had the honour of being associated with infrastructure projects recently inaugurated by the Raksha Mantri, underscoring its national significance.
Demonstrating exceptional execution capability, Project Brahmank achieved an expenditure exceeding `850 crore during the last financial year, the highest in the Border Roads Organization, and has already expended a significant budget in the current financial year. During the year, the project added another milestone with the inauguration of 13 infra projects, significantly enhancing connectivity and operational preparedness in the region especially along the Indo-Tibet border.
Emphasis on safety and foresight has resulted in effective control of casualties, particularly in motor transport accidents. With the development of modern multi storeyed office and residential infrastructure, Project Brahmank is poised to become one of the most sought-after landmarks in the vicinity of the foothills of the Himalayas  in the near future.
The efforts of Project Brahmank have been consistently appreciated by DGBR, reaffirming its strong footprint in infrastructure development, safety and operational excellence. The occasion reinforced the organization's resolve to continue serving the nation with dedication, professionalism and pride.
