KHONSA, May 31:Khonsa police on Tuesday busted a gang of three thieves, which was notorious for stealing household and electronic items under Khonsa township. 

The arrested thieves were identified as Wangkai Wangsa, Wangoi Wangsa and his wife Phema Wangsa.

Earlier Police Station Khonsa received many complaints by residents regarding theft in their area. Accordingly, a police team led by Deputy SP, Kardak Riba was constituted to nab the thieves under the active direction of IPS, SP Tirap, JK Meena.

Stolen household and electronic items likes cylinders, Exide batteries, LCD TVs, Water filters , Laptops, Necklaces  etc have been recovered from their possession.

A 3 cases vide FIR No. Ksa PS C/No 16/17 u/s 457/380 IPC, Ksa PS C/No. 17/17 u/s 457/380 IPC and Ksa PS C/No 47/16 u/s 457/380 IPC was registered against the trio and probe is on to arrest their associates also.
