KHONSA, Aug 1: A series of awareness camps on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) were conducted in various schools under Tirap district by District Child Protection Unit under supervision of Deputy Director, ICDS, Women and Child Development Department.

During the programme, resource persons imparted knowledge to teachers as well as students about various sections of POCSO Act..

In addition, pamphlets containing all the relevant information regarding the Act were distributed to all the school heads through concerned DDSE.  About 3960 students benefitted from the valuable information imparted through speeches, power point presentation, group discussion, etc during the week-long campaign.
