ITANAGAR, Jun 9:The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will be launched in Arunachal Pradesh on June 11 next. Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Chief Minister Pema Khandu including officials from IOC are expected to attend the launch.

Alongwith this, many other facilities has been announced to ease the everyday struggles of citizens regarding procuring of LPG cylinders. Now online booking for gas cylinder can be done through mobile by calling at 9089024365 without going to gas agency and standing in a big queue. Interactive Voice response system (IVR) has been started and now customers no longer need to stand in queue for booking of gas cylinder.

Moreover, home delivery system will start soon by concerned gas agencies. The IOC also plans several awareness programmes in different parts of state soon to generate mass awareness of gas safety as well as its maintenance at home.

 In see to this, a delegation comprising IOC DGM (Corporate Coordination) NE Region, Kolkata Alok Singh, DGM (LPG), Guwahati S. Chalia, Chief Plant Manager , Kimin, Sonam Khrimey, Director of Civil Supply Liyom Borang meet Chief Secretary and discussed regarding the ensuing launching of Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY) in the state.

There are at present 42 gas agencies in the state and 14 more will increased soon to cater to public demand.
