YUPIA, Aug 6: A review meeting of all the staff of National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) under District Medical Officer, Papum Pare was conducted here to initiate the routine intensive source reductions to be carried out with effect from August 6 for a month.
District VBDCP officer Dr. Tana Aruna while presiding over the meeting, discussed the norms and guidelines to be followed during the intensive source reductions exercise.
She appealed to all the citizens, private and government institutions and officials residing within the twin capital cities and nearby towns to take preventive measures like not allowing stagnant water in and around households for more than a week, regular use of mosquito nets while sleeping, applying lotions etc. In case of fever, test and medicines are to be given free of cost at all the government health facilities, the officer informed.
