ITANAGAR, Jul 25: Reacting to reports of judgment by Gauhati High Court, Itanagar Bench on Arunachal Pradesh Parliamentary Secretaries (Appointment, Salaries, Allowances and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act as unconstitutional, Government Spokesperson, Bamang Felix today said the government will comply with the judgment.
Felix while addressing newspersons informed that the matter of Parliamentary Secretaries was listed today in the court and whatever the decision is, Government will comply with it. Indeed, our Parliamentary Secretaries have already given their consent to resign from the post long before and so in due course they will resign too, asserted Felix.
Meanwhile, responding to the query on delay over investigation of 60 pages note of former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul that has been submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs in February 2017, Felix said: “Government has already submitted its report to the Home Ministry and it is the discretion of the Ministry to assign the Investigating agency to probe the case. As and when there will be any development we will disclose it.”
