NAHARLAGUN, Jun 6: The old Assembly building premises will be converted into the academic block for the Tomo Riba Institute of Medical Sciences (TRIMS) and the construction work will begin this month. This was informed by the Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan.

While  inspecting all the proposed area of TRIMS, Naharlagun along with Director (Medical Education, Research & Training) Dr. Moji Jini, Jt. Director Dr. R Doye, DLRSO I/C EAC L Koyu, Naharlagun EAC H. Karga, Construction agency M/S Kenge Construction Company Proprietor Ha Tatu and other officials of Medical Education Directorate and TRIMS, the DC  visited all the sites including old EAC office campus, Consumer Redressal court campus, Directorate of Health Services, IPR, Labour commissioner office campus, APST station campus, Police MT and staff quarters of Police department.

Dhawan also asserted that a readymade Library hall is available in the campus and minor encroachment in the campus needs to be evicted.

‘Few areas have been under occupation of Police Housing Department and District administration will request the Police department to relocate their utility. The district administration will help the Medical Education for clearing the encroachment and vacated premises for the proposed institution,’ he added.
