ITANAGAR, May 26:The National Students’ Union of India Arunachal unit has strongly condemned the Centre’s decision to grant citizenship to Chakmas and Hajongs refugees of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Chakmas and Hajongs are the treacherous refugees affecting a weaker section of Arunachal Pradesh mostly in the part of eastern region creating Law and Order problems, involved in threatening and scaring the peace loving local Arunachalee. Granting citizenship to Chakma and Hajongs is the most painful decision to local inhabitants, the NSUI said in a release.

Extending support to the All Arunachal Pradesh students’ Union (AAPSU), it appealed all citizens to voice their protest on the issue while also threatening to launch a stir.
