ITANAGAR, Jul 7: Arunachal’s  Covid situation showed no perceptible signs of improvement with 3 more citizens succumbing to the virus, taking the casualty toll to 184. New cases on the day were almost double in numbers than the recoveries.
Casualties
At DCH Chimpu, a 35-yr old male from the ICC expired today due to ARDS and Covid pneumonia. He was suffering from liver ailments and was not vaccinated.  A 27-yr old male from Lower Dibang Valley died at DCH Pasighat today due to the above reasons. He was not suffering from comorbidities and was not vaccinated. Meanwhile, a 45-yr old male Covid patient from Longding district suffering from multiple comorbidities and was inoculated with the 1st dose expired on the way to Dibrugarh for treatment on Tuesday.
Recoveries, New Cases, Sample Collection
A total of 404 new cases (asymptomatic 215; symptomatic 189) were recorded from across the state, with  ICC retaining the top slot with 98 cases, followed by East Siang (38),  Lohit (32) and West Kameng (27). Of the 211 new recoveries, the first 4 districts were ICC(78), Changlang (26), Lower Subansiri (17) and West Kameng (16). As of  Wednesday evening, the state’s active caseload was 3363 and recoveries 34736. Of the 5458 samples collected, the highest was from ICC (1265).

Vaccination

With 10285 beneficiaries taking their 1st dose, the coverage percentage for the '18 years and above' age category has now reached 69 and 4176 also received their 2nd shots (18%  coverage as of now).
Occupancy status
Till 8 pm on Wednesday, it was 50 at DCH Chimpu, 42 at SQF Lekhi, 1 at DCHC Midpu, 10 at DCH Pasighat and 23 at DCHC.
