ITANAGAR, Oct 7: State government must increase the Child Budget for proper implementation of all the schemes and policies relating to Child Protection, said Member, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Rosy Taba while addressing the online state consultation meeting of Arunachal Pradesh Juvenile Justice Care and Protection of Children Rules, 2020 today.
Conducted by the Department of Women and Child Development, representatives from all the line departments and stakeholders of Child Protection attended the meet. 
Director WCD, TP Loyi apprised the house about the Juvenile Justice Acts and Rules right from its enactment in 2000 and the subsequent amendments.
Kago Asha Lod, CDPO, Hq , Branch Officer, Child Protection Services Scheme presented the implementation status of Child Protection Services in the State.
Special Secretary WCD, Bhanu Prabha also spoke at the meeting.
Various issues regarding Child Rights were discussed which included providing of proper counseling to the Children in Conflict with Law(CICL), substance abuse by children, need for separate rehabilitation centres for CICL, setting up of child friendly courts, providing of timely compensation to victims under Victim Compensation Scheme etc.
Member,  NCPCR advised the department for sensitising all the stakeholders at all  levels about various Rules and Guidelines relating to Child Protection and their Roles and Responsibilities as provisioned in the Juvenile Justice Act and Rules. She also advised the State Child Rights Commission to conduct consultation meets with all the stakeholder departments for upholding the rights of the children of the state in true sense.
