ZIRO, Aug 27: Along with the rest of the state, National Deworming Day was launched by Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar at Government Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Hapoli .
Lauding the programme, the DC said, “These Health programmes meant especially for children should be always at their reach. The presence of Senior doctors and responsible members of the District Health Society will encourage and reinforce the trust of the students and parents for all the national flagship programmes on health."
DMO Dr. Tage Kano and DRCHO Dr. Derin Likar spoke at length about the ill-effects of worms and parasites on the human body and encouraged all the children to take the albendazole tablets and the Vitamin A drops.
DDSE Hibu Tama and Headmaster Padi Panyang also spoke on the occasion.
ANINI: The 2nd round NDD in Dibang Valley district was launched by Deputy Commissioner Dibang Valley Tamune Miso at Govt.UPS Angui in presence of DMO, DDSE, HODs , medical staff and teaching staff. The programme has been initiated in all schools, PHCs, Sub Centres, and AWCs of Dibang Valley District. In all 1697 children in the district including school children and AWC beneficiaries will be given deworming tabs.
BALIJAN: NDD here was launched by Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Dr. Joram Beda at Govt Higher Secondary School. District Medical Officer Dr. (Mrs) Subu Tasso Kampu also spoke on the occasion. Award-winning ASHA worker Taba Bina demonstrated the hand washing techniques to the students.
NAMSAI: Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, Tapasya Raghav launched the NDD at Blooming Buds Public School, Namsai today. A brief but impressive launching programme was held in which the principal Sujata Namchoom welcomed the new DC to the school and the district.
SEPPA: National Deworming Day was launched in the district formally by administering an Albendozale tablet to a child by the East Kameng DC in-charge DJ Borah in a simple function held today at Lal Bahadur Shastri Vidya Niketan (LBSVN) II School, Seppa. The District Health Society in collaboration with the District Administration has launched the programme in every circle of the district. Administrative officers, health staffers, and Anganwadi Workers are closely monitoring the programme for attaining the assigned target.
